Responsibilities/Duties
This position shall entail advising clients on NFTs, blockchain and cryptocurrency; preparing for, responding to and recovering from ransomware and other data incidents, privacy and security impacts of complex corporate and technology transactions; privacy and data protection compliance, vendor management/contract negotiation, and data incident response, as well as related issues such as data licensing and management; and artificial intelligence/machine learning; advising clients privacy and data security issues and compliance program implementation, including under GDPR, CCPA, TCPA, NY SHIELD, GLBA, and NYDFS Cybersecurity Regulations.
Skills/Experience
Must be admitted to practice law with more than 3 years experience handling cyber security and data privacy matters within a reputable law firm or corporation. Candidate must be: a team player with attention to detail and good organizational skills; able to effectively manage own workload and communicate with people; able to work independently and as part of a team; personable and confident; and able to build relationships with colleagues, clients and external organizations.
